The house in 1937 - Photo by Electra Patrinos
Situated in the heart of Mykonos Town on the main street, the building was built in the beginning of the 19th century in the traditional Mykonian style with thick rock support walls along with high wooden beam ceilings. Ever since it has stayed in the hands of the Patrinos family, who were merchants of the Greek diaspora based in Russia. It has been renovated several times, with the latest full renovation in 2016.
It's location has been the island’s most popular night spot, back to Mykonos’ golden age in the 70s, where glittering crowds of Hollywood celebrities, fashion designers and models gathered to sip a drink at the legendary Vengera bar to see-and-to be-seen. Not much has changed since. The cosmopolitan Aroma café has taken Vengera’s place and glamorous crowds still find their way through the narrow white -washed cobbled streets of Mykonos Town to reserve a place in this exact spot and party in the street from early evenings until well after sunrise
Due to its unrivaled location, it provides easy access to all the shopping, dining and entertaining hot spots.
